Wine Tasting
If you're heading to the Central Coast to get a sample of our fine wines you won't be disappointed. Award wining wineries are located in the North County, near Templeton and Paso Robles, and in the South County in the Edna and Arroyo Grande Valleys. Staff at the inn have a wealth of information about individual wineries and the wide range of organized tours of the region.

Dining in Baywood Park
Baywood Park has just a few restaurants for your dining pleasure; fortunately they are only steps away.
The La Palapa restaurant is just next door to the Inn. Here you can enjoy a bottle of wine as you watch the sunset over the bay or indulge your appetite at a fireside table. This all family owned and operated establishment offers Mexican cuisine with fresh seafood.
Just across the street Back Bay Cafe serves a wonderful bay view, along with assorted coffees, sandwiches and soups.
Good Tides Coffee is just on the other side of La Palapa and serves a great cup.
Dining Around the County
Nearby Los Osos has O'Steeni’s for terrific takeout or delivered gourmet Italian. Try the combination salad and vegetarian lasagna, they’ll bring it right to your room.
In Shell Beach (south on US 101) the famous F. McClintocks serves a great cowboy style meal - ribs, steaks, beans, salsa. Ask them to pour you a glass of water and watch out. This is one of the most successful restaurant operations in America, serving up to 1500 full course dinners on a typical Saturday evening, so go early or make reservations.
Morro Bay is home to Dorn's Breakers Café, operated by the family of Warren Dorn, one-time Los Angeles County Supervisor. Check out the photos of Dorn, Eisenhower, Nixon and other familiar faces on the wall opposite the restrooms.
Another great restaurant "of many flavors" is the Big Sky Café in San Luis Obispo. The owner successfully operates restaurants in the Hollywood area and now his Big Sky Cafe has been voted #1 in a local poll.
